Liz Madden

Originally born in Ireland, mezzo-soprano/songwriter/voice-over artist and producer, Liz Madden is a classically trained vocalist who comes from a family lineage steeped in Irish traditional music. Liz studied voice with tenor Dr. Ben Caston, and mezzo-soprano Sheila McCarthy-Cannon. She has toured globally, headlining events such as the Festival Interceltique de Lorient (France), Nobel Women's Initiative, World Music Festival (Israel), 7th Folk & Art Festival (China), and the Albuquerque Folk Festival (USA). Other performances include the Emerald Voices St. Patrick's Day Festival with the Eglin Children's Chorus and Handel's Messiah with the Southwestern Master Chorale. Liz has performed with orchestras such as the RTE Concert Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the R'annana Orchestra Israel. Formerly the front-woman for international renowned duo RUA and a member of the world music group, Shishonnah.
As a soloist, Liz has contributed to over 12 albums, her most recent album "Legacy" was written and produced with Fionan de Barra (RUNA, Clannad, Keith & Kristyn Getty) and features Emmy winner Joanie Madden (Cherish the Ladies) and guest artist Eamonn de Barra (Slide). Most recently Liz recorded with Emmy winning composer Michael Whalen on the track LITTLE STAR which features on his new album DREAM CYCLE.
As a songwriter, Liz's voice and original songs have featured in Film and hit TV shows worldwide including, My Girlfriend is a nine-tailed Fox (KBS Korea), Non-stop (MBC Korea), Plus or Minus 2 Degrees (documentary), and the award winning sitcom Hello Franceska (KBS Korea). Her work has been used by global giants FUJI and Oksusu Tea for their TV commercials across Asia, plus by French artist Lacrim on his track On Se Reverra She has collaborated with artists and composers such as Billy Sherwood (YES), Richard Cottle (Tina Turner, Eric Clapton), JMZ (Bjork), Paul Barrett (U2, Sinead O'Connor) and world-renowned jazz guitarist Nigel Clark (Carol Kidd). Her work has included narrations by Irish actor Gabriel Byrne and Choctaw Elder Gary White Deer. Other successful collaborations include Irish songwriter Katie Carpenter. They won Best Irish Entry and runner-up at the International Song of Peace contest and their song WHITE WILLOW was nominated at the New Mexico Music Awards for Best Folk Song. Liz's work with German artist Saby O' has resulted in two albums which have won numerous awards including Best Alternative Album, Best CD Album of the Year, Best English Album at the German Rock and Pop Preix Music Awards for two years running. Liz is currently completing scored works for a new worship music book due for release in 2023.
With a Masters of Music, Liz is currently completing her Masters in Theology at SWBTS in Texas. She holds a Licenciate in Performance from the London College of Music along with a Diploma in Acting Performance from the Irish Board of Speech & Drama. Formerly Artist-in-Residence at First Baptist Church of Burleson Liz was a vocalist with the Southwestern Master Chorale and worship group RIVER OF PRAISE. A regular contributing writer for the Christian Librarian Journal and the Artistic Theologian Journal, Liz also wrote the "Musical Notes" column for the AFN Kwajalein Hourglass Magazine.
An accomplished actress and musical theater performer, Liz has performed lead roles in shows/musicals and was formerly a lead performer with the Drawing Room Opera Company. As a voice-over artist, Liz has voiced work companies such as Deloitte, Vodafone, and Novartis amongst others. She has recorded for radio, TV and Video games. Liz is also the voice of Matari from the well-known MOD Maids II Deception.
Her charity work includes the SCOOP Foundation, Bee for Battens, The Variety Club of Ireland Children's Charity, Dublin Simon Community, Children in Crossfire and Chernobyl Children International. She was actively involved in her local and federal government in the creation of better housing for low-income families in Arkansas where she used to reside.
Most recently Liz produced and performed in the new live show Meeting At The Crossroads which was released on DVD and Digital TV, and shown on PBS USA. She also co-wrote, produced and narrated the new St. Patrick's Day documentary Wearing The Green which is now available on DVD.
